After Jackie. It’s been 75 years since Jackie Robinson became the first Black player in modern Major League Baseball. This documentary from executive producer Lebron James honors the anniversary while exploring the often overlooked second-wave of Black baseball players who came after Robinson.
Bill White, Curt Flood and Bob Gibson fought battles on and off the field to claim a more inclusive America for Black athletes. The film includes rarely seen footage of Robinson, as well as interviews with former and current players. After Jackie premieres June 18th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the History Channel.
