38 At The Garden. During his landmark 2012 season with the New York Knicks, an undrafted Harvard graduate named Jeremy Lin shocked fans and his teammates when he scored 38 points at Madison Square Garden against the Los Angeles Lakers.
This documentary short explores Lin’s hot streak and the “Linsanity” that followed, while also recognizing that a decade later, his status as a cultural icon stands in sharp contrast to the recent hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. 38 At The Garden premieres on Tuesday, October 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
