Facing Nolan. The title of this documentary about Hall of Famer, Nolan Ryan, who holds the all-time Major League Baseball records for no-hitters and strikeouts, refers to a few scenes when some of the best players in the league discuss what it was like to stand in the batter’s box and face the legendary pitcher.
The film is a celebration of baseball and a solid sports biography that covers Ryan’s early life in rural Texas and his career playing for four teams. Taking center stage is his wife Ruth, who worked hard to make sure he could lead a low-key life off the field. Facing Nolan is streaming on Netflix.
